I am extremely happy with my experience with Austin and the results of his working and training my dog Auggie. I wanted him to work with Auggie on not pulling on his leash, not reacting aggressively to other dogs during our walks, not jump on people when approached, and to obey important commands like “stay” “come”and “place”. After training with Austin my dog will heel during our walks and walk on a loose leash. I no longer worry about him pulling or knocking me down. He is a very well behaved dog and I confidently take him with me during the day to places knowing that he will listen and obey. Austin not only trained Auggie but he worked with us to teach us how to be consistent with the training he received while he was with him. Austin continues to advise us and is available whenever we have questions or concerns. One of the things Auggie learned while he was training with Austin was catching a Frisbee. Auggie loves this activity and we love seeing him leap into the air and catch his Frisbee. “

I had always thought that new dogs couldn't learn new tricks and Austin proved me wrong when he trained my 7-year-old, high-energy Jack Russell Terrier named Bandido. He had never gotten any training whatsoever and after a month or so, Bandi was following orders and able to walk right next to me without a leash! On top of that-because Bandido and I are from Mexico-, Austin trained him with commands in Spanish, which was greatly appreciated.
Bandido loves Austin, whom he stays with whenever I'm out of town, and it's both reassuring and comforting to know that my dog is at ease and happy with him and that I can fully trust he'll be excellently taken care of. AMG Dog Training is just the best!

We met Austin in 2014 when our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Duke, was just five months old. I’d trained dogs before, but Duke was strong-willed and already testing my limits. Austin stepped in and made an immediate difference. Thanks to his training, Duke became the most obedient, confident off-leash dog I’ve ever had—we take him everywhere: supermarkets, malls, even movie theaters.
A few years later, we purchased a Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd that Austin had trained as a protection dog. He’s incredibly disciplined, protective when needed, and gentle with the kids—a perfect match for Duke and our family. I would never train a dog without Austin again.

Taking in a dog a few weeks after college graduation is not a move most would make. Everyone told me that the stresses that come with a 1.5 year old puppy would drive me crazy.
My girlfriend’s family had worked with Austin thoroughly, so we decided to pursue his services, to aid in easing the growing pains of taking care of a high energy puppy without experience in training myself. The training Austin provided was nothing short of magic. When our Portuguese Water Dog, Callie, returned to our care, she had become an incredibly obedient, well-behaved, and perfect dog. Fozzie has transformed my life in ways I never could have imagined. Buck is a puppy with never ending energy and an attention span that made it difficult to know where to start with training. In only a few short weeks, Austin’s training allowed Buck to learn how to walk properly on a leash and sit. He understands the “place” command to go to his cot to feel safe and relaxed. He’s still a puppy but now he has simple etiquette.

Before training, I struggled to take my dog outside without her reacting to other dogs — even those across the street. Trips to the dog park were stressful, and she was constantly overstimulated and hard to manage inside the apartment.
After working with Austin the difference has been incredible. My dog can now walk calmly on a leash, stay composed around other dogs, and even relax in the apartment. She’s learned valuable obedience skills, including basic commands and how to go to her “place,” which has made daily life so much smoother. I now feel confident and in control, and she’s a much calmer, happier dog overall.

Before training with Austin, my Great Pyrenees, was anxious and reactive on walks, particularly with cars. She would lunge and bark at every car and bark at dogs we came across, which made walks stressful. Austin helped me understand what was driving her behavior and provided training that truly made a difference. I’ve even been able to wean her off fluoxetine (prozac) for her anxiety. Millie is happier on our walks now and it’s way less stressful for me.
